Chaque fois que Kiefer apparait en public, on lui pose la sempiternelle question sur le film…preuve que l’intérêt ne retombe pas !

La dernière fois que nous avons parlé à Kiefer Sutherland, il pensait que le tournage était sur le point de commencer. Lorsque "Touch" a débuté en Janvier, il croyait que le script était prêt à être tourné l'été suivant. Ensuite, il a été retardé pour la deuxième fois. Lors de la fête de la Fox pour l'Association des critiques  de télévision, Sutherland a expliqué pourquoi  la production a été arrêtée, mais qu'il n'y a pas lieu de s'inquiéter.

«C’est une question de timing», a déclaré Sutherland. "Nous n'avons pas eu un script prêt jusqu’à la fin de 'Touch’. « Nous savions que nous allions faire une 2° saison, il y avait donc un créneau très court faire le film, pour moi, pour la préparation, la distribution et le reste. C'était juste irréalisable pour la Fox, alors ils l'ont repoussé au prochain créneau. "

Donc, pour confirmer, cela signifie que le script est maintenant prêt à être tourné la prochaine fois qu'il sera disponible, donc à la fin de la deuxième saison de "Touch", c’est ça?

Le finale de la série a laissé Jack Bauer fuyant les États-Unis pour ses actions violentes au nom de la lutte contre  terrorisme. C'était en mai 2010. S’ils tournent le film en 2013, il sortira en 2014, soit quatre ans depuis la dernière fois où on a vu Jack. Sutherland n’est pas inquiet d’avoir à attendre si longtemps.

"Non, parce que je pense que nous pouvons faire un grand film. Bon, je ne voudrais pas le faire avec une canne, mais nous verrons. "

Last time we spoke to Kiefer Sutherland he thought he’d be shooting the 24 movie by now. When “Touch” premiered in January, he believed the script was ready to shoot in the summer. Then it got delayed for the second time. At the Fox party for the Television Critics Association this summer, Sutherland explained why they didn’t make it into production, but there’s no need to worry.

“Timing,” Sutherland said. “We didn’t have a script ready for that until very close to the end of ‘Touch.’ We knew we were coming back so there was a very finite window for me to make the film, to try to prep it, cast it and all of those other things. It was just unrealistic for Fox to try and make it, so they pushed it for next break.”

So to confirm, that means the script is now ready to shoot next time he’s available when “Touch” wraps its second season, right? “I believe so, yeah.”

The series finale of “24” left Jack Bauer fleeing the U.S. for his violent actions in the name of preventing terrorism. That was May 2010. If they shoot the movie in 2013 and it’s out in 2014, that’s four years since we last saw Jack. Sutherland is not worried about waiting too long.

“No, because I think we can make a great film. I mean, I don’t want to do it with a cane, but we’ll see. We’ll see what happens.”
